Man Utd’s hard-fought 1-0 victory over Luton had to come at a very high price when star duo Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund were injured.

In the match against Luton in round 12 of the Premier League, Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund missed two good scoring opportunities to get his first goal in the Premier League before he had to leave the field at the end of the match.

In the 79th minute, the 20-year-old striker fell in a dispute with the away team’s defender and seemed to suffer a hamstring injury before being replaced by Anthony Martial.

“At this time I can’t comment at all. He needs at least 24 hours to see what the problem is,” coach Ten Hag said about Hojlund’s injury after the match.

Not only was Hojlund injured, the Dutch strategist also felt worried about his squad when midfielder Christian Eriksen was also injured and left the field in the first half.

The 53-year-old leader’s disappointment is obvious when looking at Man Utd’s injury list from the beginning of the season, with key players being absent such as Casemiro, Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez and Tyrell Malacia.

Even midfielder Johnny Evans was ruled out before the match against Luton because of a thigh injury suffered in the previous round.

Man Utd’s 1-0 victory over Luton helped the Old Trafford team temporarily rise to 6th place on the rankings and is only one win away from the top 4 position held by Liverpool.
