Bam Adebayo scored twice as Miami Heat won against the Lakers

November 7 – On Monday night, the Miami Heat defeated the visiting Los Angeles Lakers 108-107 despite a late-game comeback led by season-high 28 points from Jimmy Butler and a triple-double of 22 points, 20 rebounds, and 10 assists from Bam Adebayo.

Adebayo recorded his sixth career triple-double and came just one rebound short of tying his career high.

On a night when the Heat as a team shot just 12-for-37 from beyond the arc, Tyler Herro finished with 22 points despite shooting just 2-for-10 from three. But the Miami defense made Los Angeles shoot even worse from long range, only allowing the Lakers to make 8 of 26 attempts.

With the exception of a single score early in the third quarter, Miami led the entire second half and increased their lead to as many as 13 points after the half.

With Lakers star Anthony Davis trying to play through what appeared to be an injury, the Heat took a commanding lead in the third quarter. The club reported that Davis was experiencing left hip spasms, which is why he preferred his lower body prior to halftime and did not play in the fourth quarter.

With nine points and six rebounds in the game, Davis stated that he plans to play on Wednesday against Houston.

While Cam Reddish gave Los Angeles a glimpse of a game-winning shot, it was a poor jumper. The Lakers suffered a setback in their second and third games in a four-game road trip. Miami’s victory marked their first back-to-back wins of the year.
