The Celtics suffered their first defeat of the season yesterday in the absence of Derrick White, but it appears he is set to make his return against the 76ers tomorrow. Congratulations to Derrick and Hannah on the birth of their second child.
Derrick White missed the last two Celtics games, a 124-114 victory against the Nets and a 114-109 overtime loss to the Timberwolves, for a wonderful reason. He and his wife, Hannah, celebrated the arrival of their second child, Daxton, over the weekend.
Remarkably, White has only missed three games since he joined the Celtics at the 2022 trade deadline. These include the most recent two contests and the birth of his first child, Hendrix, in May 2022.
In his absence, Al Horford stepped into the starting lineup on Monday. White has been having a strong season, averaging a career-high 15.8 points per game, along with 4.3 assists, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.3 steals.
Derrick White and his wife, Hannah, joyfully welcomed their second child, Daxton, over the weekend. It’s worth noting that White has remarkably only missed three games since his arrival at the Celtics during the 2022 trade deadline. These recent two contests and another when his first child, Hendrix, was born in May 2022.
