Barcelona’s summer signing sat on the bench in the match against Shakhtar Donetsk

After eking out a tough victory against Real Sociedad on the road in an unfavorable environment, Barcelona is getting ready to continue their run in the Champions League in an effort to secure their position as the top team in Group H.

The Catalan giants still have three matches left to play in the group rounds of the competition, the first of which will take place at the Volksparkstadion tomorrow evening against Shakhtar Donetsk.

According to reports, Xavi is ready to reorganize his starting eleven in order to give some of the regular players a break while also making use of his formidable bench strength. This is one of Xavi’s goals for the upcoming match.

Joao Felix anticipated that he would not start the game.

In point of fact, a report from SPORT indicates that Joao Felix could be one of the starters who is taken out of the lineup.

The Portuguese player got off to a strong start in his career at Barcelona, making a quick and favorable impression when he was given his first starting position against Real Betis. Since then, there has never been any question over his position in the XI.

His performances have been producing flashes of brilliance, with intelligent passes and movements being a typical occurrence, despite the fact that he has not been contributing any goals or assists recently.

Felix, on the other hand, has been showing signs of fatigue as of late, which is concerning given the importance of production in the last third for a Blaugrana forward. It appears that a timeout will soon be called for based on the string of bad luck that has occurred in the final third as well as the diminishing appearance of the scorecard.

In need of some downtime, Felix

In light of this, the coaching team hopes to give Felix some time off and give him the opportunity to recover from the intense amount of effort he’s been putting in recently.

The Portuguese player has appeared in as many as 14 games over the course of the past two months, including three with Portugal and eleven with Barcelona, where he has made his debut on September 16 against Real Betis and has started every game since then.

The perpetrator has racked up a total of 954 minutes over the course of the preceding sixty days.

The majority of Barcelona’s injured players have begun to make slow but steady progress toward recovery. Forwards Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski have both made their way back to the team in recent weeks.

As a result, it will be much easier for Felix to get some rest now, particularly in the Champions League, where Barcelona is in a position that is considered to be pretty comfortable.
