NFC champion Eagles are playing like a team capable of another deep postseason run, which might be derailed by Hurts’ ιnjury.

Hurts has downplayed his knee ιnjury and dismissed all questions, including when he was hurt. He’s not on the ιnjury report.

He remarked, “For this team, for this city, I’ll do anything,” during the game. “I’m glad we won here.”

In the final minutes of the first half, Hurts was threatened. Linebacker Micah Parsons sacked him after DeMarcus Lawrence Һit him. Hurts rose up awkwardly and staggered off the field in discomfort. Hurts took a break on the sideline when the Eagles called timeout. Hurts, 2022 NFL MVP runner-up, returned for a handoff.

The score and Hurts’ banged-up knee appeared to motivate him on the third drive to prove he could be dangerous on one knee as well as two. Hurts scrambled for four yards and a first down on the third-quarter opener. He passed to DeVonta Smith in the end zone for a 29-yard score and a 21-17 lead after an 11-yard reception.

Hurts connected A.J. Brown for a 4-yard TD to lead 28-17 near the end of the quarter. Brown had six straight games with 125+ yards receiving, an NFL record. He ended the streak with 66 yards.

Philadelphia’s defense took over. Eagles linebacker Zach Cunningham stopped Prescott and flipped him to the 1-yard line. Prescott’s fourth-down ball to Luke Schoonmaker was initially a touchdown. The TD was overturned after a replay review indicated Schoonmaker’s left knee was down approximately an inch.

From a suite, Phillies slugger Bryce Harper heard the Linc cheer, a familiar sound.

Prescott scrambled for a 2-point conversion after hitting Jalen Tolbert for 7 yards to make it 28-23. He thought. Prescott’s scramble was disregarded again after replay overturned a crucial Cowboys ruling. Eagles maintained their five-point lead.

The Eagles would have to collapse for the Cowboys or any NFC East club to pass them for first.

Dallas tried hard. Jerry Jones, team owner, refrained from bulletin board statements this week to prevent “poke the bear.”

Precott said, “Pour honey on me. If you see me figҺting a bear, sprinkle honey on me.”

Might be bears. Birds, no.

First quarter Eagles lead 7-0 after Kenneth Gainwell somersaulted into the end zone for a 12-yard score.

Prescott then threw two TD passes, a 4-yard tying score to Jake Ferguson and a 5-yard score to KaVontae Turpin, to lead 14-7.

Hurts knotted the game with his now-famous and successful tusҺ push. His sixth rushing touchdown of the season was six on the tusҺ push. He set an Eagles QB rushing record with 33 touchdowns.

Injuries: Eagles linebacker Nakobe Dean left with a foot ιnjury. Tight end Dallas Goedert hurt his forearm.
