The Argentine defeated the likes of Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe on Monday to win a record-setting ninth Ballon d’Or award.

And throughout the course of the weekend, he commemorated the occasion in grand fashion by attending a concert featuring the ‘Chantaje’ vocalist.

A video taken at the concert shows Lionel Messi tapping his hand along with Maluma’s performance before smiling and waving to a crowd of adoring fans who were standing close by.

It seemed as though he was attending the event from a very private location.

When he was shot outdoors at a later point in the evening, he gave a thumbs up to the camera, which was captured on camera.

The forward dressed appropriately for the event by donning a beige knit sweater, gray jeans, and a gold watch.

Messi had returned to South Florida after attending the Ballon d’Or event in Paris. The ceremony took place after the conclusion of the Major League Soccer season for Inter Miami.

The Herons did not advance to the postseason and the 21st of October was the date of their final game of the regular season. During the presentation of the Ballon d’Or, he was accompanied by his wife, Antonella Roccuzzo, as well as their three sons, Mateo, Thiago, and Ciro.

As a result of his seven goals, including two in the championship game, he was an integral part of Argentina’s run to a third World Cup title last year.

Additionally, he has a total of 32 goals scored for PSG in 55 games across all competitions before going on to Inter Miami.

Even though he was the one who led the club to its first trophy in the Leagues Cup, he only made six appearances in the league owing to injuries and the fact that he was on international duty with Argentina.
