Miami Heat plan to land Zach LaVine if Chicago Bulls trade him before 2024 NBA trade deadline

Bovada gives the Miami Heat +260 odds to acquire Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine if the player is sold prior to the 2024 trade deadline. This is despite the fact that the Heat missed out on Damian Lillard, Jrue Holiday, and Bradley Beal during the summer.

Zach LaVine Chicago Bulls

The New York Knicks have the third-best odds of obtaining Zach LaVine, which are +400. The second-best odds are held by the Brooklyn Nets, which are +300.

When LaVine scored 51 points against the Detroit Pistons on October 28, he established himself as the first player of the season to score 50 or more points in a single game. Despite the fact that the guard made 19 of his 33 attempts from the field, pulled down four rebounds, and came up with one steal, the Bulls were unable to overcome the Pistons and fell by a score of 16 points.

Cade Cunningham, a guard for the Pistons, led the team in scoring with 25 points, and Jalen Duren, a big man for the Pistons, contributed 23 points, 15 rebounds, and five assists to the victory.

LaVine’s start to the season has not been particularly strong, with the exception of his 51-point explosion against the Pistons. He has played four games with the Bulls so far and is averaging 24.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and shooting 40.0 percent from the field and 29.4 percent from beyond the 3-point line. In addition, he has a field goal percentage of 40.0 percent.

Zach LaVine Trade: 76ers Get Grim News on Possible Trade With Bulls - Sports Illustrated

After being selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves with the thirteenth overall choice in the 2014 NBA Draft, Zach LaVine was dealt to the Chicago Bulls in 2017 as part of the deal that brought Jimmy Butler to the Timberwolves. LaVine is currently in his eighth season as a member of the Bulls.

LaVine had 77 appearances with the Bulls during the regular season of 2022-2023, which was his sixth season with the team. During that season, he averaged 24.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game for Chicago. It is surprising that he was not selected for the All-Star team the previous season given that he had been selected for the All-Star team in each of the previous two seasons.

Zach LaVine refutes players-only meeting concern after Game 1, but Bulls still at an inflection point

If the Heat decide to pursue a trade for LaVine before the trade deadline in 2024, only time will tell if they are successful. However, you shouldn’t be surprised if LaVine’s name comes up in trade speculations over the next few months. His top scoring chops would make him an attractive third star for Miami to team with Bam Adebayo and Butler.
