Premier League club Liverpool signed former Derry City player Trent Kone-Doherty for his first professional contract.

After joining Liverpool U18 from his hometown club in July, the 17-year-old made his first appearance.

Kone-Doherty scored 11 goals on his U21 debut in August.

The adolescent trained with the senior team of Liverpool.

During his first season on Merseyside with the U18 team, a winger with skill and space scored 11 goals, including three in the Uefa Youth League, before ιnjury ended his year early.

He started 2023-24 in good form, scoring in his U21 debut against Derby County in August. He also continued to play for the U18 team, scoring a goal against a top-tier under-18 team early in the season.

Ireland has promoted Kone-Doherty to Under-18.
