Zinedine Zidane was recently interviewed by the daily L’Équipe, and he provided the publication with his candid comments regarding the potential of returning to the coaching bench.

As both a player and a coach for Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane has enjoyed a great deal of success over the years. Zidane, on the other hand, has not yet agreed to take charge of any other team or club since he left the Bernabeu in the summer of 2021. 

Zidane expressed to L’Équipe that he is not entirely closed off to the idea of making a comeback to the sport of football. Zidane is quoted as saying, “As a player, I had my pick of almost any club.” As a coach, I do not have the ability to pick 50 different clubs. There are no more than two or three options available.”

“If I were to come back to coaching the club, my goal would be to win. I say this with the utmost sense of modesty. Because of this, I am unable to go anywhere.

“There are other factors that prevent me from going everywhere just yet. To what extent? Consider the case of language. There are certain circumstances that make things more difficult.

“Whenever somebody asks me, ‘Do you want to travel to Manchester?’ I always answer no. I am able to communicate in English, but I do not consider myself to be fluent.

Zidane also mentioned that there are coaches who do not need to speak English to work, but in his opinion, having a strong command of the English language is essential for achieving success in today’s increasingly globalized economy.
