Colombian police forces have just stopped searching and rescuing Luis Diaz’s father. Because currently, there is a theory that the victim was taken to the Venezuelan border.

Page X (old Twitter network) of the Colombian police has just confirmed the above information. At the same time, the head of the agency paid tribute to the forces participating in the search over the past several days, including hundreds of soldiers, sniffer dogs, air force and many volunteer workers.

Police officers searched every house in the area around where the kidnapping took place to find any information that could help with the rescue. Locations around the Colombia-Venezuela border were extensively searched.

General Alejandro Zapata, deputy director of Colombia’s police, admitted that walking through the mountains was not easy, but, he said, “a reasonable hypothesis is that the kidnappers are taking the victims out of the country.” .

He added: “At the moment, we don’t have any evidence that they took him across the border, we can’t confirm it but we can’t rule it out either. It’s very likely they will find a way to escape there.”

Zapata said that while the domestic search campaign is paused, Colombian intelligence is working with the Interpol office in Venezuela’s capital Caracas to find ways to coordinate.

It is unclear whether Venezuelan police will participate in coordination or not, because Colombian security forces often blame the neighboring country for disоrder at the border.

“ Colombia often blames the lack of order in Venezuela for the rise in organized crime. Because mafia gangs can easily return to the Venezuelan border after committing robberies or extortion in Colombia,” Guardian wrote.

During this time, Diaz remained at home with other family members in England, while his mother and relatives in Colombia were very uneasy at this time. Mr. Feli Ureche, one of the uncles of the Liverpool striker , admitted that Luis Diaz’s family “received threats before being kidnapped”. They also have not received any calls indicating that the gаng wаnted to extort money after taking Luis Diaz’s father away.
