TORONTO (AP)— On Wednesday night, the Toronto Raptors stopped a three-game losing streak with a 130-111 triumph over the Milwaukee Bucks. Dennis Schroder had a season-high 24 points and 11 assists, Scottie Barnes had 21 points and 12 rebounds.
The Raptors lead by 27 points after Pascal Siakam scored 26, O.G. Anunoby scored 16, and Jakob Poeltl scored 14 and 11 rebounds.
The Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 16 and Damian Lillard 15. Antetokounmpo shot 5/11, Lillard 4/9. Khris Middleton scored 11 and Malik Beasley 20 for Milwaukee.
Toronto outscored Milwaukee 26-5 on fast-break points and 66-40 on paint points. The Raptors scored 100 points in regulation for the first time this season.
Toronto’s 35 assists were season-best. The Raptors collected 50 rebounds and Milwaukee 29.
Bucks coach Adrian Griffin is the second Raptors ex-staffer to return to Toronto. Griffin assisted Nick Nurse for five years, whose Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Raptors on Saturday.
Antetokounmpo has one made basket and one foul in the first quarter. Siakam scored nine points and Schroder added six assists as Toronto led 31-18 after one.
The Raptors made five 3-pointers in the first quarter, one more than in 29 attempts in Monday’s home defeat to Portland.
Siakam shot 5-for-8 against the Bucks but missed all six 3-point attempts against the Trail Blazers.
Milwaukee missed all seven 3-point shots and 14 of 15 long-range tries in the opening quarter. The Bucks shot 13/34 from beyond the arc.
Barnes scored 10 points in the second quarter as Toronto led 66-44 at halftime. Antetokounmpo missed his only field goal in the second.
The Raptors’ Schroder scored 11 points in the third after Antetokounmpo scored 10. Toronto led 95-79 in the fourth.
Raptors forward Precious Achiuwa missed his second straight game with a left groin strain. After Saturday’s loss to the 76ers, Achiuwa hasn’t played.
