The Phoenix Suns hosted the San Antonio Spurs tonight, and Kevin Durant and Victor Wembanyama put on a great display. The Spurs trailed the whole game before pulling off an unexpected 115-114 victory. But the skirmishes between Durant and Wembanyama, as well as the surprise defeat the Suns suffered on the final possession, captured the attention of viewers.

The way Kevin Durant carried the fight to Wembanyama and didn’t hesitate to take shots in the French big man’s face startled the crowd.

Given the blocks he’s produced in these circumstances, fans were astonished that Durant made a shot with a full Wembanyama contest and claimed it resulted in a classic all-time picture.

Supporters noticed and valued Durant’s experience in matches versus Wembanyama.

Many think that Wembanyama’s “Welcome to the NBA” moment came when he got sauced by Durant.

Most Suns supporters were shocked when the team lost on their final possession of the game after controlling the majority of it.

The Suns led the game from the first tip to the very last possession, but the way the game ended with KD having the ball stolen for Keldon Johnson to give the Spurs a one-point lead stunned the crowd.The Suns were in an unacceptable scenario late in the game. They led by 18 points at the half and by 13 points going into the fourth. Wembanyama was benched by the Spurs in favor of a quick-witted small lineup that the Suns were unable to match. Wemby returned with two minutes remaining, and he scored two crucial baskets to give the Spurs a chance to win before Keldon Johnson sealed the deal.

Wemby finished the game with a 50.0% shooting percentage, eight rebounds, four blocks, and eight points. Contrarily, Durant’s 26 points on 63.2% shooting went for naught because of a turnover at the end of the game, which let the Spurs steal the victory. As a result, both teams are at 2-2.

Given that the Suns were playing without Devin Booker and Bradley Beal, and the Spurs were in the process of rebuilding, the game’s competitive spirit was bound to be called into doubt from the outset. The first half of the game was incredibly uncompetitive due to the Suns’ dominance. Numerous memorable moments were also created in the half, particularly involving Durant and Wembanyama.

The most noteworthy moment will be when KD makes a jump shot during a full Wembanyama contest, something we’ve seen several players struggle with.

That was not all; Durant also introduced Wembanyama to the incorrect side of a poster by rim-attacking an unguarded Wemby who was out of position.

One of the moments that will be replayed this season, though, was when Wembanyama skillfully dribbled around Durant, who had him covered on the outside, and launched a vicious slam over Drew Eubanks.

In addition to memorable moments involving the two players, this game featured an amazing comeback in which Gregg Popovich vastly outcoached Frank Vogel in the second half. When the Suns were still starting KD, Jusuf Nurkic, and Yuta Watanabe, benching Wemby for a small and quick lineup was a great move that paid off.

Fortunately, there were also some hilarious moments during the clutch, making this an excellent game to watch overall.
