Lionel Messi and many outstanding names from the sports world appeared at the prestigious award ceremony.

Superstar Lionel Messi appeared radiantly with his young family at the 2023 Golden Ball Gala. As predicted by many experts, the Argentine striker received this noble individual award for the 8th time. 

Young talent Jude Bellingham appeared on the red carpet. The English midfielder had impressive performances for Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid. As a result of the voting, the 20-year-old star received the 2023 Best Young Player award (Kopa Trophy) from the prestigious magazine France Football.

“I want to thank all the supporters along my journey. From Birmingham to Dortmund and Real Madrid,” Bellingham shared at the award ceremony. 

Kylian Mbappe ranked third overall in the Golden Ball voting, behind Lionel Messi and Erling Haaland. The French striker did not win in any category.

Midfielder Ilkay Gundogan appeared next to his wife Sara Arfaoui. In the 2022/2023 season, the German star won a historic treble with Man City. Personally, Gundogan had an excellent performance in the FA Cup final when Man City defeated Man United. 

Striker Julian Alvarez is paired next to his other half Maria Emilia Ferrero. In the 2022/2023 season, the Argentine star experienced a successful year, winning the World Cup and Champions League. 

Former player Djibril Cisse impressed the camera with a bold, colorful outfit.

Vinicius Jr. was honored with the Socrates Prize for his contributions and humanitarian efforts.

Striker Erling Haaland appeared on the red carpet with his girlfriend Isabel Johansen. The Norwegian star won the Gerd Muller award (a title honoring the player who scores the most goals).

Bernardo Silva beams next to Ines Tomaz. 

Former football player David Beckham also attended. 

The award ceremony was made even more special when tennis legend Novak Djokovic appeared.
