Anthony Davis and D’Angelo Russell go big with 12 fourth-quarter points in Lakers’ 106-103 win over Orlando

v(Associated Press) — Los Angeles On Monday night, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Orlando Magic 106-103 thanks to a furious comeback led by D’Angelo Russell, who scored 12 of his game-high 28 points in the fourth quarter, and LeBron James, who added nine of his game-high 19 points in the final period.

The Lakers were able to hand Orlando its first setback of the season by finishing on a run of 12-5 in the final four minutes of the game. Anthony Davis led the Lakers in scoring with 26 points and 19 rebounds.

The Magic were able to maintain their advantage for the entirety of the fourth quarter, but with 2:27 left on the clock, LeBron James hit a 3-pointer to put the Lakers ahead by one point. Jalen Suggs responded with his third 3-pointer of the night, but Russell nailed another 3-pointer with 1:43 remaining in the game. Jalen Suggs’s three-pointer tied the game.

Gary Harris Jr. led the Magic in scoring with 17 points and five 3-pointers, but the team went scoreless in its final five attempts. Suggs finished with 15 points, and Wagner finished with 16 points.
