Since LeBron James first joined the NBA, there have been numerous drafts in which “the next LeBron” has been selected. Who among us can forget how much pressure was put on Andrew Wiggins to attain the same level of success that LeBron James did in the NBA? Even more hype has been put on Victor Wembanyama, who many people have named the greatest prospect in NBA history, even ahead of LeBron, which is a thought that Darvin Ham does not agree with. Wembanyama has been called the greatest prospect in NBA history.
“He’s not far off, but we’re just getting started here.” From what I’ve been able to observe thus far, the young man is extremely, extremely outstanding. However, in most respects, he still has a ways to go before reaching his potential. He certainly has the potential, but when you consider things like his longevity, his level of self-care, and the amount of effort he puts in, “he has the potential, but only time will tell,”
Wembanyama is incredible, and it’s highly likely that he’ll be the closest thing the NBA has ever seen to a rookie having an impact comparable to that of LeBron James. To do what James has is not a simple task, even for the enormous French center to undertake.
