Conor McGregor Bolsters His Celebrity Photo Collection Reputation During Saudi Arabian Appearance
Conor McGregor’s presence at boxing events is becoming increasingly regular, and he recently joined a star-studded guest list for the much-discussed clash between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia.
The heavyweight showdown in Saudi Arabia saw Fury, the WBC champion, facing off against Ngannou, a mixed martial artist making his professional boxing debut. What seemed like an apparent mismatch took an unexpected turn when Fury was floored by a left hook in the third round. Though he swiftly rose to his feet, Fury appeared unsteady before regaining his composure and strategically using his jab to stay out of Ngannou’s reach.
Despite enduring more significant blows and sustaining a cut above his forehead and a welt under his left eye, Fury managed to secure a split decision victory (96-93, 95-94) on two of the scorecards. The third judge favored Ngannou 95-94, reflecting the surprising competitiveness of their 10-round bout, even though Fury’s world title was not at stake. The outcome potentially affects a proposed match against Oleksandr Usyk on December 23.
While the in-ring action may not have reached A-list quality, the presence of renowned personalities in the audience heightened the spectacle. Soccer legends Cristiano Ronaldo, Rio Ferdinand, Luis Figo, and Brazilian star Ronaldo graced the event with their attendance. Notably, Mike Tyson, along with Eminem, Kanye West, and rapper Lil Baby, also shared the experience.
Unsurprisingly, McGregor was among the most vocal and engaging attendees, culminating in a friendly face-off with Cristiano Ronaldo, who is currently playing for Saudi Arabian team Al Nassr. McGregor continues to solidify his reputation as the celebrity photo connoisseur at boxing events, as evidenced by snapshots of him alongside some of the biggest stars present at the Fury vs. Ngannou showdown, including Figo, Ferdinand, and Ronaldo.
