Cristiano Ronaldo’s eldest son, Cristiano Jnr, is expected to join Al-Nassr’s U15s after completing his transfer on Thursday.
The 13-year-old has consented to join his father to the Saudi Arabian club, where he will continue his football career.
He has been touted to make it as a professional and has previously played for Real Madrid, Juventus, and Manchester United’s youth teams.
Fabrizio Romano has also indicated that he will be playing with youngsters older than his age group in order to boost his growth.
‘Understand Al Nassr has chosen for Cristiano Ronaldo Jnr to start practicing with U15 squad despite being 13 years old,’ Romano tweeted. He’ll begin training with the squad this week and will wear No. 7.
Ronaldo relocated his family to the Middle Eastern country in January when his contract at Manchester United expired and he decided to leave European football.
Ronaldo Jnr has had an outstanding start to his career, netting 25 goals in eight games during his time at Juventus, and will now wear his father’s famed No 7 shirt.
All parties concerned have ratified an agreement, and the youngster is scheduled to begin training with his new teammates in the coming days.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner and serial Champions League winner recently claimed that his eldest kid wants him to stay in the game so they can play together.
Ronaldo remarked last year, ‘My son tells me: dad, hang on a few more years, I want to play with you!’
However, he will have to hope that his father continues to play into the age of 40 in order to have a realistic chance of lining up alongside Ronaldo, who turns 39 in February.
Cristiano Jnr is the eldest of five children, with Ronaldo becoming a father for the first time at the age of 25 when his son was born in June 2010, though the mother’s identity has never been confirmed publicly.
The child has followed his father throughout his illustrious career, but the Manchester United and Real Madrid icon has claimed that he is not pressuring him to become a footballer.
‘I will never put pressure on him. ‘He’ll do anything he wants,’ Ronaldo has stated.
‘What I most desire for Cristianito and everyone else is for them to be happy and to be able to choose what they want. ‘I will help in every way I can.’
