NBA phenomenon Victor Wembanyama proved unstoppable when he and the San Antonio Spurs won their first match of the season, against the Houston Rockets.
The center made a basket with 20 seconds left in the fourth quarter, scored the opening point in overtime and finished the game with 21 points and 12 rebounds to help the Spurs win 126-122.
“I really enjoyed winning ,” Wembanyama shared. “It’s my favorite thing in life. Back in the locker room, coach Gregg Popovich reminded me this was my first NBA win. It made me momentarily proud of myself. Of course, that This is just the beginning and we have a long way to go.”

Devin Vassell scored 25 points and Keldon Johnson contributed 20 points for the Spurs, who lost to Dallas on opening day.
