Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter may be two of the most renowned college football players in the nation, but even the pair of Buffaloes stars couldn’t hide their excitement after meeting LeBron James.
The Colorado tandem was sitting courtside for the Lakers’ season opener against the Nuggets at Ball Arena on Tuesday night.
After the game, James approached Sanders and Hunter and greeted them, saying “love y’all boys, man.” Sanders could then be overheard asking James to send them jerseys after the game, telling the 38-year-old to “get us right.”
After James walked away, Hunter let out a hilariously enthusiastic screech, clearly overwhelmed after having met the four-time MVP.
Hunter and Sanders were also spotted hoisting up jump shots before the game, though they didn’t have much success launching threes from the corner.
James played 29 minutes in Los Angeles’s 119-107 loss to Denver. He scored 21 points and added five assists and eight rebounds. The Lakers are back on the court on Thursday night at home against the Suns.
As for Colorado, the Buffs are coming off a disappointing loss to Stanford and will look to rebound on Saturday against No. 23 UCLA.
