Young talent Fermin shines, Felix, Inigo and injury after Barcelona 2-1 Shakhtar Donetsk

Ferran Torres and Fermin Lopez scored for Barcelona to put them in a commanding lead going into halftime of their Champions League match against Shakhtar Donetsk. Despite this, Barcelona appeared to be in a great deal of distress since they were leading comfortably at the break.

However, Barcelona was unable to maintain their momentum, and Shakhtar was able to equalize the score after they had squandered a number of opportunities in the first half of the match.

In the end, however, the Catalans were able to secure all three points from the game despite the fact that the final thirty or so minutes were somewhat tense.

After the game, Xavi once again voiced his displeasure with the team’s performance. The following is a quote from him that was given by Gerard Romero: “Today I have to be more understanding than ever. It was a game in which we were deemed winners, despite playing an opponent who was challenging. We have made things more difficult for ourselves. It has not been possible to win with ease because there has been insufficient efficacy.”

We were the better team and deserved to win 4-1 or 5-1. On the other hand, that was one of the most physically challenging bouts I’ve seen since I’ve been here. I’m content most of the time.”

Fermin turned in an outstanding performance and was rewarded with the Man of the Match trophy as a result of his efforts. Xavi went on and on about the young man, praising him and saying things like, “I really like Fermin Lopez.” He is the type of player that may spend a significant portion of his career at Barcelona. These are some very weighty expressions.

In addition, he provided an update on Joao Felix’s condition, who was taken off the field in the second half because of a knee injury.

“Joao Félix has not sustained any injuries. It’s a terrible blow. According to what Xavi said, which was repeated by the Portuguese player himself, there will be no obstacle for him to overcome in order to participate in El Clásico.

In addition to this, he stated, “If we bring back one of the injured players for El Clásico, it will be very positive; however, we will not force anyone to play.” Everyone is doing what they can to improve their chances of winning El Clásico.

The manager also complimented Inigo Martinez, who had another outstanding performance in central defense and was once again among the top players on the field, saying that he has put in back-to-back terrific shifts there.

“I could not be more pleased with igo. Because of these qualities as well as his adaptability, we decided to sign him. He is a leader with character. He is a decisive footballer for the squad and is extremely good at finding players in the spaces between the lines.

In conclusion, he stated, “We have competed in all three games of the Champions League.” A score of nine points out of nine is not a relief; rather, it is a reward. We have been highly successful in our efforts.”
