Alejandro Garnacho was caught on camera using his foot to destrоy the penalty spot before Andre Onana saved Jordan Larsson’s penalty.
Alejandro Garnacho may have played a part in helping Andre Onana save a last-second penalty as Manchester United claimed their first Champions League win over Copenhagen on Tuesday night. Erik ten Hag’s team was preparing for another disappointing night in Europe, before Harry Maguire appeared with a timely goal to break the deadlock.
Manchester United tried to find a second goal to make the final stages of the match less tense, but they could not take advantage of the opportunity. And they almost had to pay the price in the final minutes of the match when Scott McTominay ‘took reve𝚗ge’ with a harsh foul in the penalty area.
Jordan Larsson, son of legend Henrik Larsson stepped up to take the penalty, but his effort was saved by Andre Onana. The Cameroon international used his left arm to push the ball out of the goal. The final whistle sounded just a few seconds later.
But Garnacho may have actually contributed to Copenhagen missing out on a point. The camera recorded the image of the 19-year-old player standing on the penalty spot while the referee was surrounded by players from both teams. Afterwards, one can see him deliberately using his feet to destrоy the ball placement .

Victory for Manchester United now means they will surpass Copenhagen to rank third in the rankings and only one point behind Galatasaray.
