LeBron James’s ability to score quickly brought attention to himself almost immediately after he entered the league.

 The forward for the Los Angeles Lakers in the first game of the 2023–24 NBA season was able to score 10 points in the first half of that game. This may not seem like a very remarkable accomplishment unless you take into account the fact that the four-time league Most Valuable Player has now scored at least that many points in each of the previous 1,152 games he has played in.

In the first half of Tuesday night’s game against Nikola Jokic and the reigning NBA champion Denver Nuggets, LeBron James shot 5 for 9 from the field and scored 10 points for the visiting Cavaliers. Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets are currently the best team in the NBA. James, who is now 38 years old, can still be quite unstoppable on the court because he continues to use his remarkable blend of size, agility, and athleticism to make baskets at a productive rate. This allows him to score at a high rate.

LeBron James shouldn’t be playing at this level this late in his career, but that’s exactly what he is doing. James, who is the same age as other players who have retired from the league or been sent to the bench in the past, is not expected to follow in their footsteps because he still has the appearance of being able to play for multiple seasons more.

James has already established himself as the all-time scoring leader in the NBA and is a four-time champion of the NBA. Although he has nothing more to prove at this point, he still has a strong passion for the game. That is not to mention the fact that he is still regarded as a significant piece of the Lakers, who are projected to be among the primary contenders for the NBA championship in the 2023–2024 NBA season.

Before the game against the Nuggets, LeBron James had compiled a lifetime record of averaging 27.2 points per contest while shooting 50.5 percent from the floor.
