There was major cоnfusiоn at Manchester United’s press conference before the Champions League match against Copenhagen when coach Erik ten Hag seemed to announce the return of Jadon Sancho. It leads to the ‘red devils’ having to clarify which players are actually returning to the team.

Jadon Sancho and Erik Ten Hag had a public cоnflict after the English striker was removed from the Man Utd squad in the match against Arsenal on September 3. Sancho affirmed that Ten Hag made him a scapegoat at Man Utd, after the Dutch strategist said Sancho was eliminated because he did not practice hard. Sancho refused to apologize to Ten Hag, as a result, he was demoted to the Man Utd youth team to practice and was banned from using the facilities of the “Red Devils” first team.

Sergio Reguilon joined Man Utd on loan from Tottenham at the end of the summer transfer window, after injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia forced Ten Hag to find new personnel. Reguilon has started three times for Man Utd, most recently in the victory over Burnley in September.

In Reguilon’s absence, Ten Hag have used Sofyan Amrabat and Victor Lindelof as temporary left-backs in recent weeks. Lindelof has taken on this role in the last two Premier League matches, with Man Utd’s two wins over Brentford and Sheffield United.

Losses to Bayern Munich and Galatasaray in the first two Champions League matches have put Ten Hag’s team at rιsk of being eliminated early from the tournament. A home loss to the Turkish champions saw Casemiro sent off. Therefore, the Brazilian midfielder will miss the match against Copenhagen due to suspension.
