And no, that’s not because of an injury crisis, but because of Ben White’s barbers.
Nelson wanted to highlight the highlights
But got shut up
White didn’t want to pose for the cameras
The Gunners defender has opted to bleach his hair ahead of the trip to Stamford Bridge.
Stepping out for training at London Colney, the former Brighton man showed off his new look.
He was a bit sheepish, though, and Reiss Nelson made sure to draw attention to it.
Nelson told the camera ‘get my guy’s new trim’.
White then tapped him on the cheek telling him to ‘shush’.
Fans were left shocked by White’s new look, as one X user said: “Fits the name finally… should be trademarked!”
Another posted: “The White in his name has been confirmed finally. Kudos.”
A third joked: “Should have dyed it black for Chelsea’s funeral.”
Meanwhile this Gunners supporter simply stated: “He’s actually gone blanco.”
Saka is a doubt for the Chelsea game
While there is no injury crisis for Arsenal, Mikel Arteta was coy on a number of his players ahead of the London derby.
The boss said he’ll have to assess Bukayo Saka, William Saliba and Leandro Trossard’s fitness on Friday, after the trio pulled out of their international squads due to niggling injuries.
Saka and Trossard pulled out of the England and Belgium squads with hamstring problems, while Saliba was struggling with a toe issue.
“We obviously haven’t had a lot of players,” Arteta said on Friday, referencing the international break.
“It’s the first training session we’re going to do today and we will know more after the session.
“I do have an idea [of his starting XI] but I have to see them all together today and how everybody is because we have a lot of people travelling around the world and with a lot of minutes in the legs.
“I want to judge what is the best for tomorrow, not only in terms of what I want to do tactically but also how the energy is, how the mood is, how the spirit is. In order to that, I will have a better clue after the session today.”
