Any university that accepts him will be holding a future star. This is a sample from Draft Express’s scouting report written by Jonathan Givony for LeBron James’ son:
“Most of his peers have plateaued over the past 12 to 18 months, but James has developed, filled out his physique, found another gear with his explosiveness, and has become an absolute menace off the ball defensively owing to his tremendous energy and sense of the game.”
Two years ago, most scouts thought he might be a diamond in the rough. Some even went so far as to say that LeBron James would only pick him if he kept his word to play with his child before retiring.
Bronny James’s best attributes are his explosive mobility, superb on-ball defense, and ability to absorb contact. Many of his impressive dunks—some of which even rival fans have been known to cheer for—have been featured frequently on ESPN.
Although his shooting and playmaking are adequate, he still has to work on them. It’s said that he plays defense better than attack.
D.J. Wagner, the best shooting guard in this year’s class, is thought to be a versatile offensive talent. Wagner possesses remarkable abilities in shooting, creating plays, and offensive power. His offensive skills are so wide and superb that he is sure to be chosen in the lottery.
However, the Kentucky Wildcats’ new freshman requires more development on the defensive end of the floor than Bronny James did. Wagner also needs to build up his strength to withstand blows, particularly when playing against stronger opponents in college.
LeBron James’ son still has over a year to hone his abilities before the NBA Draft in 2024. It will be interesting to see how Bronny James’ scouting report has evolved in a few months.
