LeBron James, 38, and his son Bronny James, 18, received the red carpet treatment at a concert put on by Drake. The rapper personally escorted them to their seats in the VIP section before he took the stage at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, which is the same venue where LeBron plays basketball for the Los Angeles Lakers.

It was Bronny’s second time appearing in public since the USC Basketball star suffered a heart collapse on July 24 while working out at the campus. Bronny, who was injured in the event and spent the next four days in the hospital as a result of it, went to a Los Angeles Dodgers game on Saturday with his father and his younger brother Bryce, who is 16 years old. During the game, the MLB team gave away LeBron bobbleheads.

During the show, Drake took a minute to praise LeBron and thank him for his unwavering support over the years while wearing the purple and gold colors that are synonymous with the Los Angeles Lakers.

“In 2009, when nobody believed in anything I had going on, that same guy showed up to a release party for a mixtape that was called So Far Gone,” the narrator says. “The mixtape was called So Far Gone.” Drake shared with concertgoers, “He came all the way to Toronto, Canada, to support me when I was trying to figure out how I could live my dreams.”

“And so, tonight, however many years have passed since then, it is an honor to be inside his building while we are both still alive on this planet,” she said. “And so, tonight.” Tonight is the night when I have to do this structure justice. I came all the way out to Los Angeles because I’m going to give you everything I’ve got, and I guarantee you that.

After the event, LeBron James gave a sneak peek to his 158 million followers on Instagram of the after-party that followed the show. At the party, visitors drank his Lobos 1707 brand of tequila.

At the beginning of this month, Drake and LeBron were seen dining al fresco at a restaurant in Canada, where the Major Distribution artist spent his childhood. On August 4, Clutch Points published a photo that showed the two A-listers smiling broadly while they were in the middle of an embrace.

In the weeks that have passed since Bronny suffered a heart arrest, LeBron has provided infrequent updates about his son while also requesting privacy.
