The 10,000-square-foot mansion has plenty of room for a serious sneaker collection, Former Chicago Bulls star Jimmy Butler lists River North mansion for $5M

A significant sneaker collection will have plenty of room in the estate that is 10,000 square feet in size.

According to Crain’s Chicago Business, just two weeks after the announcement that Jimmy Butler had been traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves, the star player for the Chicago Bulls has put his magnificent mansion in River North on the market. The home has a total of 10,000 square feet. The news of the deal came as a shock to many Bulls fans, including Butler himself. Despite this, the lifelong resident of Chicago will soon be reuniting with Tom Thibodeau, who coached the Chicago Bulls in the past. Thibodeau is the current head coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

There are a total of six bedrooms and five and a half baths in Butler’s listing, which also features a recreation area with a bar, billiards, and several outside deck spaces. It is highly unlikely that Bulls fans will be able to tour the property.

The house was finished in 2008 and has a look that is reminiscent of nouveau chateaux both on the exterior and on the interior. The interior includes a matching design and is equipped with an elevator, a bespoke winding grand staircase, and a wine cellar that can hold 750 bottles.

According to documents available to the public, the native Texan, who is now 27 years old, purchased the home in September 2015 for $4.3 million. The residence was added on the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) yesterday.
