LeBron James was photographed in Paris with friends and actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire, only one day after Pharrell Williams’ Louis Vuitton Fashion Week event took place in the French capital.
The eighth arrondissement of the city, which is close to Les Champs-Elysees, is where ‘The King’ is said to have joined soccer players on Wednesday. He had already checked out of the opulent Le Cheval Blanc hotel, which is said to be where he is staying with his wife Savannah.
The 38-year-old LA Lakers star accessorized his outfit with a blue and orange headgear from his own line, Uninterrupted, three silver chains, a silver watch with a turquoise crystal dial, and basic white t-shirt tucked into chic blue jeans. On the other hand, DiCaprio and Maguire were almost identical as they wore COVID-19 masks and predominantly black clothing when they arrived at the hotel.
The identities of the soccer players present as well as the reason behind the two actors and James’ $2,100-per-night stay remain unknown. Following the Lakers’ May Western Conference Finals loss to the Denver Nuggets, James has been spending a portion of his summer in France. He has been photographed with friend and fellow NBA player Draymond Green, which has fueled speculation that the Warriors star may be considering moving to Los Angeles to be with his friend.
Earlier this week, the basketball player and billionaire were spotted leaving for dinner in Cannes, France, together with Chloe Green, the daughter of British retail millionaire Philipp, and Savannah, his childhood girlfriend.
The four-time NBA champion participated in the 24 Hour of Le Mans, the oldest continuous endurance racing competition in the world, earlier in June.
James received not just a prime viewing position but also the honor of being this year’s honorary starter—a title that has been bestowed upon a celebrity every year since 1949.
Past honorary starters include Steve McQueen, Brad Pitt, and Rafael Nadal.
James, probably the greatest basketball player of all time and four-time league MVP, stated that he has “a lot to think about” this summer, but he hasn’t made a decision regarding his NBA future.
After LA was swept by Denver, the Lakers are undoubtedly banking on their franchise player to choose to go on and not give up on his career.
When asked the last question during his postgame news conference on May 22, James replied, “We’ll see what happens going forward.” “I’m not sure.” I’m not sure. To be honest, I have a lot on my mind. I have a lot on my mind as I move forward with the basketball game, just individually.
Although James has a $46.9 million deal with the Lakers for the upcoming season, he is in control of his own destiny having broken Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s lifetime scoring mark earlier this year. His play hasn’t really suffered after 20 years in the NBA, despite his health being less stable, especially in his shaky ankles and feet. He hasn’t previously indicated that he has any personal conflicts about finishing his deal with Anthony Davis and company.
When his eldest son Bronny Jr. is drafted into the league, which should happen around the 2024–2025 season, James hopes to play with his son. “It’s all about availability for me and keeping my mind sharp, and things of that nature,” James stated.
“Being there on the floor, in the changing rooms, on buses, in airplanes, and doing things like that.” It’s undoubtedly difficult. For myself and our baseball team, it was an extremely difficult season, and we are all aware of what happened in the first few games (the Lakers’ 2–10 start to the season). It was a really enjoyable ride.
Due to a foot ailment that sidelined him for a month during the regular season, James made a spectacular comeback in the playoffs as the Lakers defeated second-seeded Memphis and eliminated reigning champion Golden State.
