Ayesha Curry unveils fashion-designing debut with JustFab inspired by the 1970s and African-American feminists

Ayesha, the chef wife of NBA player Stephen Curry, made her fashion design debut on Tuesday with the Los Angeles membership shopping portal JustFab.

Without JustFab’s VIP discount, the 33-piece ‘Invent Yourself’ footwear and apparel line for spring from the 32-year-old Canadian designer costs between $29.95 and $59.95.

'This collection is all about bringing joy!' On Tuesday, NBA star Stephen Curry's chef wife Ayesha unveiled her fashion-designing debut with the Los Angeles membership shopping platform, JustFab

“I really wanted this collection to be fun, fresh, and vibrant,” Ayesha, who has 9.6 million social media followers, said on Instagram Story.  “People are dressing again, and they are happy when they see color.” I therefore wanted to incorporate that into my life, embrace my feminine side, and wear flowers, yellow, and pink once more! It’s just enjoyable and novel.

Bell Hooks, Nina Simone, Audre Lorde, Ruby Bridges, and Maya Angelou are just a few of the African-American female icons that Curry (born Alexander) named after in some of the compositions that harken back to the 1970s.”We really wanted to make sure the collection reflected that JustFab has something for everyone,” the CEO of Sweet July stated in a statement about her worldwide design cooperation with the company.

Ayesha gushed via Instastory: 'My inspiration for this collection was really to be fun and fresh and vibrant. People are getting dressed again, and color makes people happy. So I wanted to bring that into my life and get back to my feminine side and wear florals again and yellows and pinks! It's just fun and fresh'

“The collection has everything you need, from the ideal heel for a date night to adorable sneakers for running errands.” “I designed every single pair with a specific purpose in mind,” Ayesha went on. “But this spring, my main goal is to get to a festival, and I’ll be wearing the “Michelle Eyelet Boot” all weekend.” And to be honest, I’ll still wear these boots to the grocery store if I can’t make it to Coachella.

'Humbled and honored': Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors point guard - turning 34 on March 14 - was crowned NBA All-Star Game MVP on February 20, and Curry (born Alexander) was there to support him in his native Ohio

Curry, who lost 35 pounds while under COVID-19 quarantine, keeps her 5 feet 8 inches tall and in shape by controlling her portion sizes and “drinking 32 ounces of water before noon” every morning.
