LeBron James has given an explanation for his desire to own an NBA team in Las Vegas, saying he thinks it will only be a “matter of time” until major league basketball brightens the Strip.

Lakers star LeBron James has explained why he wants to own an NBA franchise in Las Vegas

This week, the 38-year-old was questioned about why, should the NBA ever establish a franchise in Las Vegas, he is especially interested in managing a team there. In recent years, the NFL, NHL, and WNBA have all sent clubs to Vegas; James thinks the NBA would only quicken the “momentum” that is developing in the desert.

James remarked, “It just makes sense.” It’s obvious that the Raiders are present. Here are the Knights for you. Here, you hold the cards. F1 is coming your way very soon. “All-star weekend has occurred on a few occasions.”We have the highly popular NBA Summer League. Sports are back. I believe that the momentum in this area would only be heightened by the addition of an NBA club.

James doesn’t think there would be an NBA team in Vegas, and he thinks it will happen when a club decides to move there instead of if it will.

'I think it's only right. I think it's only a matter of time,' the 38-year-old explained this week

It draws attention. You don’t need to be concerned about receiving support from fans or anything similar. It seems only right to me. “I believe it’s just a matter of time,” he continued.

James has been with the Lakers in Vegas for the preseason. On Monday night, they played the Nets, and in the Lakers’ 129-126 victory, Ben Simmons seemed to glare down the great player from Los Angeles.

At T-Mobile Arena, Simmons showed quickness early in the first quarter to get by James and score the first points of the game for the Nets.

Then, as they moved back down the court, the 27-year-old seemed to glare down his opponent. James finished the game with 10 points and five assists in his 17 minutes of play.
