Not being used by Pep Guardiola, midfielder Kalvin Phillips wants to leave Man City for a new destination

The fact that English midfielder Kalvin Phillips is not being played by Pep Guardiola makes it likely that he will depart Etihad Stadium when the winter transfer window opens.

Kalvin Phillips struggled to adjust to Pep Guardiola’s playing philosophy after being acquired by Manchester City from Leeds in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee of 45 million British pounds.

Even when Rodri was suspended for three consecutive matches in the domestic tournament, Pep used a young youngster named Rico Lewis to play in the midfield instead of Kalvin Phillips. This was the case even though Kalvin Phillips was available.

During the recent away trip to Arsenal, the former Leeds United midfielder was not allowed on the field for even one single second. He was playing for Arsenal.

According to sources from Inews, Philipps is rather dissatisfied with the way things currently stand and is prepared to leave the club during the upcoming winter transfer window.

The 26-year-old midfielder has garnered interest from a number of Premier League clubs, including Newcastle, West Ham, and Everton, amongst others.
