LeBron James was spotted in Saudi Arabia just weeks after joking about playing there amid ʀᴜᴍᴏʀs of a two-year $1BILLION contract

LeBron James has been seen in Saudi Arabia, just a few weeks after joking that he might play basketball there someday. This comes after rumors that a basketball team there is about to offer him a $1 billiоn contract.

In his Instagram story on Thursday, the 38-year-old Lakers star posted a picture of himself with Bader bin Farhan Alsaud, who is the minister of culture for the Kingdom, writing, “Love my brother!!!” Until next time.

Maverick Carter, James’ agent, and two other people were also in the group picture.

The four-time NBA champion was in Riyadh, which is the capital city of Saudi Arabia, this week for an unknown reason. However, an online report says that James was invited to a friendly game at AZM Academy.

Just a few days ago, video of James leaving a building with a group of businessmen also went viral on social media.

Earlier this week, footage of James leaving with Saudi businessmen went viral on social media

However, Lakers fans shouldn’t worry that “The King” will be leaving the Purple and Gold any time soon. It’s also not impossible that James could play in the Middle Eastern country for a lot of money after he retires from the NBA.

James shared a GIF of Forrest Gump running in July to show his fans how quickly he’d go to Saudi Arabia to play if he was offered a huge amount of money.

Kylian Mbappe, a famous French soccer player for Paris Saint-Germain, was offered $776 million to play for Al-Hilal over the summer, but he turned it down to stay in Europe and play soccer.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, a star player for the Milwaukee Bucks, has said before that he’d move to Saudi Arabia if he got an offer he couldn’t refuse.

James has two years left on his $99million contract with the Lakers, including a player option
