Incredible Scene: Fans Pursue Mo Salah as He Takes to the Streets in Egypt

Mohamed Salah Captured Filming a New Advertisement for Pepsi

The Egyptian forward continues his association with Pepsi, a company that has featured many football stars in its advertisements for quite some time. Last year, he shared the screen with Lionel Messi in one such ad. Currently, Salah is filming the latest commercial for Pepsi in Merseyside and was captured working diligently in front of the camera on Thursday.

Production for the advertisement necessitated the closure of a road in the Duke Street area of Liverpool, just a short distance away from Anfield. While the nature of the advertisement remains a mystery, Mohamed Salah was photographed displaying his impressive speed as he was chased down the street.

There were over 50 extras involved in the advertisement, and the Liverpool forward appeared cheerful and relaxed as he completed several takes as required by the crew.

Although Salah seemed to be the only big-name footballer on this particular set, he previously starred alongside Messi, Paul Pogba, and Raheem Sterling in another commercial over a year ago.

This filming session coincides with Salah’s excellent form in front of the goal, as he prepares to face Liverpool’s bitter rivals, Manchester United, on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp’s team currently occupies the second position in the Premier League standings after eight matches, enjoying a four-point lead over Manchester United.

Salah, in remarkable form, has scored 12 goals in 11 games this season and recently became Liverpool’s all-time top scorer in the Champions League with a brace in Madrid on Tuesday night. This achievement surpasses the record held by Steven Gerrard, the former Liverpool captain and club legend, who scored a total of 30 goals in the European competition. Salah now boasts 31 Champions League goals.

His current form has garnered widespread attention and earned praise from Liverpool manager Klopp, who referred to Salah as “the best player in the world” following his outstanding performance against Watford last week. Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger also hailed Salah as the “best striker in the world” and credited his confidence, creativity, and intelligence for setting him apart from others earlier this week.

Filming the new Pepsi advertisement marked the culmination of a busy week for Salah off the pitch, as he also had the opportunity to see his wax figure at Madame Tussauds in London.

Upon laying eyes on his wax likeness, Salah was left astonished and remarked, “That looks exactly like me, it is like I am looking into the mirror. Does he have abs or no?”

He later reflected, “It’s a blessing to be recognized and immortalized in this way. I couldn’t believe it when I stood alongside ‘me’; it’s like looking at my own reflection in a mirror. I can’t wait to see what the fans think. It’s been an amazing experience working with the artists at Madame Tussauds London to create my first-ever wax figure.”

Salah collaborated closely with artists to ensure the accuracy of his wax figure, undergoing hundreds of measurements and photographs. The figure is prominently displayed in the attraction’s Awards Party Zone, dressed in the cream suit that Salah wore on the front cover of GQ Middle East magazine. Additionally, the figure’s hands are raised in recognition of his goal celebration.
