Barcelona is feeling worried when the Uruguayan defender was called up to the national team amid increasing injuries

Barcelona’s circumstances are worrying as the team struggles to manage an excessive injury list throughout a run of difficult games and disappointing outcomes.

The Blaugrana received further bad news following their 2-2 draw with Granada: both teenage sensation Lamine Yamal and defensive mainstay Jules Kounde are injured.

Due to Kounde’s injury, Ronald Araujo—who had previously been given a break—had to substitute for the Frenchman.

Barcelona is struggling to find a starting lineup, despite the Uruguayan’s excellent performance and alert demeanor. Additionally, SPORT has revealed that Araujo’s engagement during his international duty has raised concerns.

Barcelona can’t let this happen again.

Currently, Barcelona is concerned that he may be asked to do too much while on international duty with the Uruguayan group.

Because the defender has only recently recovered from a thigh injury, Xavi decided to first rest him on Sunday.

Araujo is a critical part of Xavi’s lineup because Kounde appears to be sidelined for five weeks. This is especially true given the extremely important run of fixtures that follows the international break.

The fact that Araujo missed the World Cup due to a serious injury he had while serving for his country at the same time last year is extremely concerning.

Barcelona, which has been without a Champions League knockout game for the past two years, will also look to snap their two-year drought. Despite having a healthy defense, the Catalans have been giving up far too many goals lately.

So, the team will be praying that, in the next weeks, Uruguay does not make excessive demands of Araujo.
