Bruno Fernandes, the captain of Manchester United, expressed little surprise that an Academy alumnus sparked yet another legendary Reds comeback on Saturday afternoon at “Fergie time.”
We were down 1-0 heading into extra time at the conclusion of the ninety minutes, but Scott McTominay came off the bench and scored a decisive brace, helping us win all three points in the last seconds.
After the game, Bruno told MUTV, “It’s Fergie time.”
“At United, scoring at this point in the game is normal, and Fergie’s time [means] that an Academy graduate must also score.”Today, Scott delivered us the victory, and we are really grateful to him.
“The desire and unity we had throughout the game, as well as the excellent effort put in by everyone who joined the team to support it, were part of the two goals.”
Our number eight thinks that, going into the international break, it was imperative that we get three points against the Bees after suffering two losses at home.
Bruno cautions the Reds, however, that they have to be mindful of the “noise” that accompanies playing for a team like that.
“The noise will never stop because it’s Manchester United,” he said.
“Even when you win ten straight games, there will still be noise made about other things.” We have to acknowledge the size of this group.”Today, Scott delivered us the victory, and we are really grateful to him.

“Everyone who participates in games at Old Trafford must believe that it is an undesirable location,” he said.
“While it’s a nice stadium to visit, it’s not a great place to play.” We need to regain the mindset that makes us an aggressive squad that is hard to defeat at home and makes it difficult to draw conclusions.
