Stephen Curry, a guard with the Golden State Warriors, will win the Most Valuable Player award for the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the second year in a row in 2016. His spectacular season took place in the same year that the Warriors broke the record for most wins in a single season, which had been held by the Chicago Bulls since 1995–1996. In NBA history, Steph Curry is the 11th player to win the Most Valuable Player title in consecutive seasons. Since the year 2000, LeBron James, Steve Nash, and Tim Duncan are the only other players who have accomplished this accomplishment.
