Bellingham unstoppable: ten goals in ten games with Real Madrid
Jude Bellingham scores a brace against Osasuna and improves his already exceptional numbers: he is averaging one goal per game.
Carlo Ancelotti had foreseen everything already at the end of August and then many people thought that his words were ambitious at the very least.
Commenting on ‘Radio Serie A’ on Karim Benzema’s farewell to Real Madrid, he explained that it would not be another centre-forward who would take the place of the French champion, but rather a midfielder: the new arrival Jude Bellingham.
“We will not sign other strikers because we think that the purchаse of Bellingham will compensate for the absence of Karim. He is serious, mature, he is a very talented player.”
A month and a half after that declaration, the facts are definitely proving the Real coach right. Bellingham’s numbers so far have been not only surprising, but like a true bоmber.
ANOTHER DOUBLE
Jude Bellingham also found the net in Real Madrid-Osasuna, a match valid for the ninth round of La Liga.
The English champion opened the scoring already in the 9th minute when, served in the area by Carvjal, he controlled the ball and pierced Herrera with a powerful left-footed shot.
The Blancos number 5 then repeated himself in the 54th minute when, after starting with the ball at his feet, he asked Valverde for a triangle and, once he received the ball again in the area, from close range he beаt the opposing goalkeeper by passing with his right foot the ball between his legs.
It was the goal that temporarily made it 2-0, in a match that then saw Real Madrid prevail 4-0.
THE LEAGUE’S TOP GOALSCORER
Thanks to the brace scored against Osasuna, Bellingham has reached eight goals in the championship.
Considering that he did not take part in the seventh round match against Las Palmas, he is averaging a goal per game.
Bellingham scored his first goal in the Spanish league on his debut against Athletic Bilbao and from then on he scored a brace against Almeria, a goal against Celta Vigo, one against Getafe and one against Girona, before of the match against Osasuna.
With eight goals he is therefore the top scorer in the Liga and his closest pursuers are Lewandowski, Joselu and Kubo who so far have reached five.
Two assists must then be added to these eight scores.
TEN OUT OF TEN
If we consider all the competitions, there are actually ten goals scored by Bellingham out of as many matches played.
The English jewel has in fact also found the way to the goal against Union Berlin and Napoli in the Champions League.
Incredible numbers even when compared to those of his experience at Borussia Dortmund: twenty-four goals in one hundred and thirty-two games.
BETTER THAN CRISTIANO RONALDO
Not even Cristiano Ronaldo, the best scorer in the entire history of Real Madrid with 450 goals in all competitions, had started so strongly in La Liga.
In fact, the Portuguese champion had scored seven goals in his first eight matches in the Spanish championship.
However, the overall score is equal if all competitions are considered: ten goals in as many matches and therefore a record equaled.
