The 34-year-old NBA All-Star turned up to the league’s media day on Monday rocking an eye-catching new look.

Butler said he was in his “emotional state”

A year after Butler, 34, stole the show with his impressive braids during media day, this year the Miami Heat star went an entirely different direction.

With long straightened bangs covering half of his face, multiple piercings, painted fingernails, and bracelets, Butler would have looked right at home in the mid-2000s.

If this wasn’t enough, his all-black attire included a long baggy coat with a skull on the chest, baggy pants, and black boots.

“Laugh it up,” Butler told the media as he entered his press conference.

One member of the media suggested he was giving off Milli Vanilli vibes, to which Butler responded: “I’m emo, leave me alone.”

He went on to explain: “This is my emotional state. I’m one with my emotions, so this is what you get.”
