LeBron James Shares ‘Son Bronny Commits to USC: ‘I’m Proud of Him’, Basketball Legend Says

Over the weekend, LeBron and Savannah James’ eldest child made his commitment to the University of Southern California (USC) public.

The University of Southern California (USC) has received Bronny James’ commitment to play basketball for them.

LeBron and Savannah James’ oldest child revealed his choice in a weekend Instagram post.

Bronny, 18, highlighted the school motto of the USC Trojans in his caption, writing “Fight On #committed.” The athlete may be seen in the photo being uploaded in the Trojans’ locker room at the Galen Center while sporting his Sierra Canyon School suit.

In the comments portion of his article, Bronny received love and congrats from a number of his well-known friends.

Former professional basketball player Nick Young, who formerly represented USC, wrote: “Welcome to the family bro bro.”

Current USC student Natalia Bryant made the remark, “FTFO,” which stands for “Fight the f— on,” a play on the Trojans’ catchphrase.

According to ESPN, Bronny is now regarded as one of the best five point guards in the nation.

Bronny, who will be available for the 2024 NBA draft, has first-round potential, according to ESPN NBA draft analyst Jonathan Givony.

Prior to deciding on USC, the athlete also gave Ohio State and Oregon some thought, according to the Los Angeles Times.

In a post-game press conference following the Los Angeles Lakers’ victory over the Golden State Warriors in Game 3 of the NBA Playoffs, LeBron, 38, praised his kid for choosing “a great university.”

“I’m happy for him. What’s happening here is wonderful, he continued. “To my knowledge, this is the first member of the James Gang to attend college, unless it was one of my great-grandmothers or great-grandfathers or someone who lived long before my time.”

“Obviously, his dad didn’t go to school,” LeBron continued. His mother did not attend college. My mother may have briefly visited a campus, perhaps a community college or something, but she was too busy chasing after [me] to spend much time in the classroom.

“It’s very, very, very, very exciting, very, very humbling, and a great moment for our family,” he remarked.
