The most recent footballer to state that his childhood dream was to play for Manchester United is RASMUS HOJLUND.
But the Red Devils’ new £72 million striker has the evidence! Hojlund, 20, made a statement about his two football goals for a project he wrote when he was ten years old.
In less than ten years, both have come to pass, which is a major achievement for the “winner child” who encourages the dedicated Dane to keep developing.
Hojlund declared: “My goal is to play for Manchester United and the Danish national team ten years from now.” The letter was then read aloud to TV2 Sport.
Dream part one came true in September with the first of his six senior caps.
The second part of the goal was completed last Thursday when United successfully rebuffed PSG’s last-minute interest in completing his transfer from Atalanta.
Hojlund asserts that having lofty goals and the courage to work for them are essential. If not, your goals won’t be achieved.
“Getting everything in one package is unusual, but with me and Manchester United, I’d say everything has just clicked into place. It is a perfect match.
“The club is going through a process right now, and I would dearly love to be involved.
This is also why I chose to move here at this particular time; I feel like I can grow with the team and, perhaps, we can win many trophies together.
The hitman, who was born in Copenhagen, also shared a picture of himself wearing a United shirt with his younger brothers Emil and Oscar when he was a young student.
Rasmus wore black clothes, whereas his brothers wore red.
He remembered being “very small” when he initially developed a strong loyalty to United.
Holland remarked, “I think Rasmus at ten would definitely be “buzzing,” as they say over here in England.
The speaker said, “I’ve pursued that because (he) set himself a goal.”
Holland, though, will miss United’s first two games because of an injury incurred during the preseason while playing for Atalanta.
