NBA Star Jayson Tatum Mocked for Tattoo Error
NBA star Jayson Tatum faced social media mockery over the weekend after revealing his new tattoo, complete with a noticeable error. The Boston Celtics forward, aged 21, had the phrase “Gods Will” inked across his upper back, along with “Proverbs 3:5-6.”
Tatum, a proud Christian, proudly displayed his new tattoo on social media but soon regretted it when fans pointed out the missing apostrophe. Many jokingly suggested he must be “polytheistic” due to the grammatical error.
Taking to Twitter, one NBA writer joked: “Never thought my job duties would include ‘inquiring as to Jayson Tatum’s polytheism’ yet here we are.”
Another fan claimed: “This is why copy editors are important.”
A third added: “How many gods we talking here?”
One optimistically wrote: “I hope Jayson Tatum knows someone who can squeeze an apostrophe in there.”
That season, while speaking about going to church as a youngster, Tatum claimed: “That’s something that has stuck with me for a long time.
“I even got it tattooed on my wrist.
“From a young age, my grandmother was the first one to always remind me of how blessed I am to be in this position.
“The talents I have, and everything that you do, you do it for Jesus.”
Tatum has always been open about his Christianity, even getting a tattoo on his wrist to commemorate it. Despite the tattoo blunder, he continues to excel in his NBA career, with impressive stats this season for the Boston Celtics.
