UPDATE: Lewandowski was replaced due to injury in the match against FC Porto

During Barcelona’s match against FC Porto, star striker Robert Lewandowski was brought off the field with what appeared to be an injury and the team was given a significant setback as a result.

The superstar, who is 35 years old and has been performing at a high level recently, is the unquestioned starter at the No. 9 position for the Catalan giants.

given a consequence of this, his absence for the duration of the competition will be a significant setback, given the striker was removed from the game just a little bit after the thirty-minute mark.

It appeared that Lewandowski hurt his left foot when he was taken down by a reckless challenge made by David Carmo at the 21-minute mark. Carmo’s challenge caused Lewandowski to fall to the ground.

Even though the experienced forward tried to continue playing, it was clear that he was in some sort of pain, and he was eventually replaced by Ferran Torres in the 34th minute.

After being taken off the field, Lewandowski was shown applying ice to his left leg while seated on the bench following his substitution. He walked off the field with a limp.
