‘This victory tastes like glory’ – Cancelo, Gavi, Ter Stegen react after Barcelona 1-0 Sevilla

Yesterday evening, Barcelona prevailed over Sevilla in a hard-fought match by the score of 1-0 to get back to their winning ways.

It was a crucial victory for the Catalans, who were coming off a fairly disheartening 2-2 tie with Mallorca the previous week. The win came just in time for them.

Cancelo continued, “I’m trying my best to help the team, and it looks like everyone is doing well.” The match versus Mallorca should have been one that we won.

Cancelo stated that he would be pleased to assist Barcelona in any way that he could, and that he is doing his best to do so: “I’m trying my best to help the team, everyone is doing well.”

When speaking to Movistar+, Gavi also echoed lines that were previously stated, stating, “This triumph tastes like glory. We were deserving of it from the very beginning, and we are overjoyed by the result. I am overjoyed with the manager’s confidence in me. During the course of the game, we discuss several tactical aspects.

“We were disheartened after losing points to Mallorca,” said one player. In view of the disappointing outcome from the previous game, today was an opportunity for us to make amends, as Gavi explained.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen is of the opinion that Barcelona should have scored at least a couple of goals in the first half of this specific encounter, but they were only able to score one.

We had the opportunity to score at least two goals in the first half of the game. “To our great relief, we were ultimately victorious in the game,” he stated. “Competing against Sevilla was always going to be a challenging task.”

“We had opportunities to score, but fatigue set in, and we found a very lucky goal.” “We had chances to score, but fatigue set in.” “The three points give us a lot of confidence moving forward,” ter Stegen said.

The goal, ultimately scored by former Real Madrid great Sergio Ramos, was an own goal, thus from Barcelona’s point of view, it was indeed fortunate that they scored it.

The appearance of Ramos was not the only attraction of the game for Barcelona players; they also got the opportunity to catch up with an old teammate in Ivan Rakitic. Ter Stegen was one of those individuals.

Even when he’s playing for another club, it’s always a delight to see Rakitic. When asked about Rakitic, he responded that their friendship would endure for all time.

“I had a conversation with him about the opportunity he had. I remarked to him, “Wow, what a shot!” It was difficult to keep track of the ball,” the German commented further.

Ter Stegen then proceeded to add each individual player at Barcelona, focusing particularly on the absence of Frenkie de Jong and Pedri, both of whom are unable to play due to injuries. Pedri is also out with an injury.

“Of course, Pedri and De Jong are absent from our lives. He stated that it was necessary for us to give Gavi some break because he was playing every instrument.

Ter Stegen said this regarding Fermin Lopez’s performance, “Fermn has not played a lot, but he has shown his influence on the pitch.” Ter Stegen was speaking about Fermin Lopez’s performance.

Looking to the future

Cancelo has stated that he is keeping a careful eye on the match between Real Madrid and Barcelona because Barcelona is now in the lead in the table. The right back added that everyone was excited for the upcoming match between Girona and Madrid.

Later on this evening, Real Madrid will face off against the Catalan club. If Los Blancos are successful, they will be able to reclaim their place at the top of the league table.

Ter Stegen, on the other hand, is pleased with the clean sheet but emphasized that Barcelona must make defensive improvements in order to compete with Real Madrid.

“There are a lot of matches more to come for us. We have some defensive ground to make up, and I have some personal ground to make up as well, ” he remarked.

“Everyone on the team contributed to the success, and I couldn’t be happier with the result or the clean sheet.” We have observed that this team engages in a great deal of competition and conflict. He continued by saying, “I am proud of this team.”
