When Al-Nassr scored a late goal on Friday, Cristiano Ronaldo led the fans in a Viking Thunder Clap celebration.
After 87 minutes, the score was tied at 1-1. Ronaldo scored a great penalty in the bottom left corner, beating the goalie.
Al-Nassr won their sixth straight game thanks to his 10th league goal of the season.
They are now two points behind the leaders, Al-Hilal. This is a big change from the beginning of the season, when they lost their first two games.
Ronaldo was always the showman after the game. He led the Iceland team that made it to the quarterfinals of Euro 2016 in a celebration that became famous.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored a late winner in Al-Nassr’s 2-1 win over Al-Tai on Friday night
The Viking Thunderclap was his idea of a good time after the sixth straight win.
After the first clap, he winked at the camera as the crowd in the away end joined him in celebrating a big three points.
With this loss, Al-Tai falls to 12th place after eight games, having only won two and lost five.
On Friday, other former Premier League stars were also playing. N’Golo Kante played a big role in Al-Ittihad’s 0-0 draw with Al-Fayha.
They had lost points only twice all season, and without star striker Karim Benzema, it was felt very much.
The French player has scored in each of his last two starts, but he has been hurt and has missed Ittihad’s last two games.
Al-Hilal went to the top of the table by beating Al-Shabab 2-0. Kalidou Koulibaly and Aleksandar Mitrovic, both of whom used to play in the Premier League, scored both goals.
The next game for Al-Nassr is on Friday against Abha. That same day, Al-Ittihad will host Al-Ahli.
N’Golo Kante was also in action as Al-Ittihad were held to a 0-0 draw by Al-Fayha
