UPDATE: Serious injury of the star Barcelona player brought on to the field in the match against Sevilla

After suffering an injury to Frenkie de Jong the previous weekend during their match against Celta Vigo, Barcelona were saddled with yet another fitness concern today during their match against Sevilla.

During the first half of their match against the Andalusian side at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys, the Blaugrana saw their star winger Raphinha suffer an injury. The match was played in Barcelona.

The incident took place a few minutes after the half-hour mark, when the Brazilian international player went down in pain after making a run and an attempt at the goal.

It seemed as though Raphinha had injured his hamstring area after a change in pace when he was running, and after receiving treatment from the medical department, it was decided that he would be taken off the field.

The former Leeds United winger was replaced by La Masia star Fermin Lopez during the 35th minute of play. Lopez took over for the player who had previously played for Leeds United.

This is a setback for Raphinha, who has struggled to find consistency in his play so far this season. He was kicked out of the starting eleven after receiving a red card in the first game of the season, which was played against Getafe.

After getting the start against Mallorca earlier in the week and scoring a goal, the winger was rewarded with another start today, but sadly, he was injured.
