Gavi’s extremely violent reaction when conceding the second goal in the match against Mallorca

Barcelona had only themselves to blame for a painful 2-2 draw against Mallorca after they allowed two dreadful goals.

The journey to Son Moix, which was necessary to maintain their position after taking over the league lead over the weekend, went horribly after a couple of weeks of extremely strong play.

Only a few members of the starting lineup, particularly Oriol Romeu and Gavi, could be proud of the descriptions they offered of themselves.

Marc Andre ter Stegen’s two mistakes in goal were particularly aggravating on the evening, and Gavi, who played with his typical ferocity on and off the ball, appeared to be less than pleased with how things went.

Gavi’s ability to lead is evident.

Vedat Muriqi flicked Mallorca’s second goal of the game into Abdon Prats’ path, and the latter was attempting to bring it down in the box after sneaking between the defenders.

Given the trajectory of the ball and the presence of Ronald Araujo next to him, the situation would almost certainly have been handled by Araujo had it not been for Ter Stegen’s rash run out, which allowed Prats to get away with a poked attempt that creeped in.

Gavi’s outrage at giving up another cheap goal after giving away the first goal can be seen in a video taken by one of the spectators after the goal was conceded.

The youngster, who is already an essential component of the midfield, reacts in a way that makes clear how much it means to him.

And now that Pedri and Frenkie de Jong are injured, it is even more so.

Even though he is just 19 years old, the young man has already shown that he is willing to risk everything for the badge while wearing his emotions on his sleeve.

His intensity is what makes him the kind of player he is, even though it sometimes seems like it gets the best of him.
