MU just had a home match against Crystal Palace in round 3 of the English League Cup. Alejandro Garnacho opened the scoring for the Red Devils before Casemiro and Anthony Martial scored the next goals to help the home team win 3-0, thereby registering their nаme in the fourth round.
Erik ten Hag sent a warning to Alejandro Garnacho
Although Garnacho scored his first goal of the season, Ten Hag wаnted even more from the player, saying: “You saw, at the beginning of the season his contribution was not enough. Good. Garnacho is always a threаt in the match, even when he doesn’t play well.”
“He has to learn. On defense, Garnacho also made an impact. He will always be decisive, because of his great qualities, but at his age, learning must always come first.”
“It’s not just about moving. I want to see him step into the box and finish. I think it’s quite normal for a player of this age to have a lot of space to improve, but I like him. And we have to demand a lot from Garnacho and push him. He can reach a very high level, but he needs to show it every day.”
Garnacho grew up from MU’s academy and the 19-year-old Argentine player was promoted to the first team under Ten Hag last season. Meanwhile, MU will return to action on Saturday when they host Palace again, this time in the Premier League.
