Alejandro Balde is a rising star in the sport of soccer, and FC Barcelona has now made the formal announcement that he has signed a new long-term contract with the club, committing his career to the club until the summer of 2028.
“FC Barcelona and the player Alejandro Balde have come to an agreement for a new contract that will keep the player under FC Barcelona’s employ until the 30th of June 2028. According to the official announcement released by the club, the buy-out clause has been established at 1 billion euros.
The club has revealed that Balde’s new contract will remain in effect until the summer of 2028 and contains a massive release clause with a value of one billion euros.
The club has stated that the official signing ceremony as well as the presentation of the new contract will take place tomorrow afternoon.
Balde was a product of the development program of La Masia and made his debut with the main squad while Ronald Koeman was the manager.
However, it was not until the 2022–2023 season that he truly blossomed, becoming Xavi Hernandez’s first-choice left back and forcing Jordi Alba out of the lineup in the process. He established himself as the first-choice left defender throughout this season.
Balde has continued to improve his game and is now a mainstay on the Spanish national squad. His career is going from strength to strength.
Before leaving on their preseason tour in the United States, all parties had come to terms on a new contract for the 19-year-old player, which had been in the works for some time.
There were rumors that Manchester City was interested in acquiring the young left back, but in the end, he decided to re-up his contract with Barcelona and play there until 2028.
Balde was given the No. 3 shirt by the club shortly after he was enrolled as a member of the first team earlier on in the summer. This was due to the fact that the new contract had already been agreed upon.
