Bernardo Silva and Dani Olmo want to come to Barcelona in the summer of 2024

Even though they have signed new deals with Manchester City and RB Leipzig, Bernardo Silva and Dani Olmo still have a soft spot in their hearts for Barcelona. As a result, they have agreed to a relatively low contract breaking price in the event that coach Xavi’s squad is interested in acquiring their services. when summer comes along in 2024.

Despite the club’s financial struggles and changes in wage policy over the past few years, Barca continues to be attractive to well-known players. Those people include Bernardo Silva and Dani Olmo, among others. The two players considered their options at Camp Nou for the upcoming campaign when they negotiated the most recent extension of their contracts, which included a clause that allowed for early termination for a nominal cost.

Although Bernardo Silva is one of the most important players for Pep Guardiola, he is not the one who makes the most money. The request for a two-year contract caused him to shake his head, and the only reason he consented to sign for another 12 months was because he was still holding out hope that he would play for Barcelona in the upcoming season.Even though Xavi, Barca’s coach, seemed to have a lot of respect for this player, the club simply did not have the financial means to acquire him.

Bernardo agreed to extend his contract with Manchester City, but only for one season (until June 2026), with a better salary and a contract termination fee clause of only 58.5 million euros, a price much lower than Man City’s valuation of 80 to 100 million euros. Bernardo did this because he was aware of the difficult economic situation facing Barcelona.

If Barca were to sign Bernardo in the summer of 2024, he would already be 30 years old, which is a drawback for the club.Barca also intends to acquire Bernardo by this summer, but they are only brave enough to seek to borrow it for free for one season. They hope to buy it outright the following summer for 58.5 million euros, however. On the other hand, Manchester City turned down the offer and instead made a new commitment to Bernardo.

A situation like that also exists with Dani Olmo, who is one of the players that coach Xavi has a lot of respect for. This summer, Olmo also extended his contract with RB Leipzig, and the new agreement extends his current deal by another two years.Although he does not rank among the top five players in terms of the biggest salaries at the club, he is the most productive striker.

Olmo also signed a clause stipulating that RB Leipzig cannot sell him for a price exceeding 60 million euros, more or less the same as Bernardo, but he is 5 years younger than Bernardo. This is a player who can play well as a left winger, or in all 3 highest attacking positions, including the role of center forward.

Furthermore, he was trained at La Masia so he understands very well the concepts of Barca’s position and playing style. In addition, he has also imbibed the technical and disciplined football characteristics of Croatia and Germany, having played for Dinamo Zagreb and currently RB Leipzig.

Olmo has dreamed of joining Barca for many years. He wants to take an important step forward in his career at Camp Nou. But now, both Real Madrid and Atletico are watching him. And in particular, Man City is considering Olmo as the perfect replacement for… Bernardo Silva.
