Cristiano Ronaldo’s Early Return to Al-Nassr After Portugal Suspension Garners Praise from Goncalo Ramos
Cristiano Ronaldo will miss Portugal’s Euro 2024 qualifier against Luxembourg due to a suspension, stemming from a yellow card he received during a 1-0 win over Slovakia. The suspension followed a reckless lunge in which he inadvertently made contact with Slovakian goalkeeper Martin Dubravka’s face, although many believe he was fortunate not to be sent off.
Despite this incident, Paris Saint-Germain striker Goncalo Ramos commended Ronaldo for his unwavering support and presence with the team until his departure on Sunday. Ronaldo has since returned to Al Nassr to resume club duties.
Portugal remains on a strong course to qualify for Euro 2024, having won all five of their group stage matches and holding a five-point lead over second-placed Slovakia and third-placed Luxembourg with five games left to play.
As for Cristiano Ronaldo, he is expected to return to action for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, with their upcoming match against Al-Raed scheduled for the following Saturday.
